Step 1:
- I cut out my model using the quick selection tool. I zoomed in just in case of stray parts off the original background I used the eraser tool to do this.
Step 2:
- I then created a masthead. I used the Stencil font to make my masthead standout at the size of 140 pt. to make the masthead almost fill the hole page but not fully. I then later changed the colour to a light green so it will stand out from my background which was going to be blue, which I got from the internet and used it as my base layer.
Step 3:
- I then created a circle graphic to promote a free gift in the magazine. I used the ellipse tool to create the circle and filled it with the house style of the magazine. I changed the colour and size of the word 'free' I did this as it will appeal to people that there is a free object tin the magazine, and people like free things.
- I Then created to sell lines on top and the bottom of the magazine. I filled the rectangles with the house style colour with the same text style as the masthead. I made sure they were not too big so it did not cover much of my main cover image.
Step 5:
- I created solid green rounded rectangles on the left side of the main cover image I then wrote the main cover writing in the same font at 18 pt. and 12pt.
